Watch out America - the Wests are coming. The United States is finally getting its own version of Outrageous Fortune after a false start last year.
Most of the core cast of Scoundrels - as the series has been renamed - is confirmed, and the show is due to screen on the ABC in the northern summer.
I think this is a pretty big thing for nz and the writers of outrageous fortune because it shows that nz has got good ideas and creative people.
the show is going to be toned down "But people should expect the more controversial content commonplace in the Kiwi version - the sex, swearing and drug-use - to be toned down"
Which is a bad thing.

Frisbee inventor dies.
MONROE, Utah - Walter Fredrick Morrison, the man credited with inventing the Frisbee, has died. He was 90.
Morrison sold the production and manufacturing rights to his "Pluto Platter" in 1957. The plastic flying disc was later renamed the "Frisbee," with sales surpassing 200 million discs.
It is now a staple at beaches across the world and spawned sports like Frisbee golf and the team sport Ultimate.
I think that this is an interesting news story because he is completely unknown and for him to pass away is tragic but amazing to know that the "Frisbee" was actually invented by somebody.

Crooks Turn To Twitter.
LOS ANGELES - When a gang member was released from jail soon after his arrest for selling methamphetamine, friends and associates assumed he had cut a deal with authorities and become a police informant.
They sent a warning on Twitter that went like this: "We have a snitch in our midst"

The report Outlines technically advanced "gangstas" and the way they are utilizing the internet and pages such as Twitter, Facebook and Myspace to announce recent gang activity such as shootings, stealing, killings.
This is not as much a problem for anybody except for themselves as they are pretty much telling cops about their plans.
I think that this is a good thing because if they are stupid enough to post things on the internet about what they are going to do and what they have done and reveal themselves and their gang to police then they deserve to be caught.
